The Lucas County 911 Regional Council of Governments is a governmental entity formed to provide consolidated 9-1-1 operations in Lucas County, Ohio. We are currently seeking to hire Public Safety Telecommunicators to provide a communication link between citizens needing help and emergency responders. These positions are vital to the safety of our community.

This position requires individuals who can make decisions independently in a demanding environment with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and perform work with a high degree of accuracy.
The 9-1-1 Call Center operates 24/7/365, including weekends and holidays. Schedules for Lucas County 911 telecommunicators include voluntary and mandatory overtime.
Pay
Pay Starts at $26.86 Per Hour
Paid Time Off Provided

4 Days On, 2 Days Off
Shifts: Mornings, Afternoons, & Nights

Training
The training program is designed for self-motivated individuals who are comfortable with utilizing modern technology and can thrive in fast-paced environments.
- 4-6 Month Training Period

Requirements
There are a number of requirements necessary to become a Lucas County 9-1-1 Telecommunicator including:

- Possess a Valid Driver License or State ID
- Pass a Pre-Employment Physical
- Pass a Drug Screen
- Pass a Criminal History Check
- Pass a Typing Test
